Kinshasa, 30 juin 2025 – La capitale congolaise a vibré au rythme de la grande finale du concours national d’éloquence et de débat “Trophée Tshisekedi”, une compétition d’envergure qui s’est tenue dans la somptueuse salle du ministère des Affaires étrangères, en plein cœur de la commune de la Gombe.
Organisé par la Fondation MM en partenariat avec New-Harlem, cet événement a été supervisé par le champion du monde de boxe, Mukadi Manda, et a réuni une pléiade de personnalités politiques, académiques et sportives, ainsi qu’un large public étudiant venu soutenir les jeunes orateurs.
Parmi les invités d’honneur, le professeur Patrick ONOYA Tambwe a marqué les esprits avec un message fort, alliant encouragement et engagement citoyen. Dans un discours puissant, il a salué l’excellence des jeunes finalistes et les a exhortés à « persévérer dans l’apprentissage, la maîtrise de la parole et la quête du savoir », des armes essentielles pour bâtir l’avenir du Congo.
Mais l’intervention du professeur ONOYA a surtout pris une dimension historique lorsqu’il a lancé un vibrant appel à la jeunesse congolaise :
« Jeunes de la République, soyez les gardiens vigilants de l’accord de paix signé entre la RDC et le Rwanda sous l’égide des États-Unis. C’est votre avenir qui est en jeu. »
Un message qui sonne comme une interpellation directe dans un contexte régional encore fragile et qui rappelle le rôle crucial des jeunes dans la préservation des acquis de la paix.
La cérémonie s’est également distinguée par la remise d’un diplôme de mérite au sénateur Denis Kambayi Tshimbumbu, ancien ministre des Sports, salué pour son parcours et son engagement au service de la nation. Cette distinction a été décernée par le professeur ONOYA lui-même.
Au terme de cette compétition intense, huit jeunes finalistes – dont trois femmes – ont été primés pour leur talent oratoire et leur engagement. Ils ont reçu des médailles honorifiques et des cadeaux offerts par les partenaires officiels de l’événement.
Une jeunesse qui prend la parole, une génération appelée à protéger la paix.
