La RDC célèbre ce mardi 17 janvier le 62e anniversaire de l’assassinat de Patrice-Emery Lumumba. Le premier chef de l’exécutif congolais avait été assassiné dans les circonstances encore obscures à ce jour. Cependant, la Ligue des Jeunes du Mouvement des Démocrates Congolais (MDCO), parti politique cher au Président Gabriel Mokia, a tenu une grande conférence de réflexion autour de l’héritage de Patrice-Emery Lumba et des Enjeux Électoraux en République Démocratique du Congo, au quartier général du parti situé au numéro 1 de l’avenue des armées dans la Commune de la Gombe.
Devant les chevaliers de la plume, le Président de la ligue des jeunes du MDCO, Mr Freddy Tshilumba a expliqué que ladite conférence s’organise dans le cadre des échanges avec les experts en matière électorale de l’International Republican Institute (IRI) en sigle pour la sensibilisation de leurs candidats qui vont représenté le parti aux élections à venir.
» Nos partenaires ont beaucoup parlé sur les questions électorales. Ils nous ont expliqué pour qu’un parti politique soit accepté ou recevable, il doit aligné au-moins 300 candidats sur les 500 sièges en compétition au niveau national. Le parti s’est bien préparer pour aligner ses candidats à tous les niveaux « . Avant d’ajouter que cette journée est aussi caractérisé par la commémoration de la mort de l’héros national, Patrice-Emery Lumba, le père de l’indépendance.
Ayant pour mission de « soutenir la croissance des libertés politiques et économiques, de la bonne gouvernance et des droits humains autour du monde par l’éducation des gens, des partis politiques et des gouvernements sur les valeurs et les pratiques de la démocratie », Me Kizimini Miriane, présidente de la jeunesse de la commune de Kalamu et ambassadrice de l’IRI sur les questions électorales laisse entendre que leur présence dans la présente conférence est pour la sensibilisation de la population sur les questions électorales en RDC.
Pour sa part, le secrétaire fédéral du MDCO/Tshangu et membre du comité de sage de cette plateforme politique, Junior Lumu met l’accent sur la date du 17 janvier.
» Nous avons voulu chercher à conscientiser cette nouvelle classe qui en train de chercher à faire la politique, de continuer toujours avec la vision de Lumumba et de chercher comment amener notre pays au développement « , a-t-il renchérit.
