Le ministre des Sports, Didier Budimbu, a dévoilé ce mardi la vision portée par les récents accords conclus entre la RDC et des clubs européens de renom. Loin d’être symboliques, ces partenariats visent un objectif clair. Celui de former une génération solide de footballeurs congolais.
« Nous nous concentrons sur la formation des jeunes joueurs et de leurs encadreurs ici, au pays », a affirmé le ministre, insistant sur l’ancrage local de la stratégie.
L’idée est simple : détecter les meilleurs talents congolais dès leur plus jeune âge, les encadrer selon des standards internationaux, et offrir aux plus prometteurs une passerelle vers des centres de formation en Europe. Une approche qui met fin à l’exil précoce et non structuré des jeunes joueurs.
« La visibilité que cela procure à la RDC est un bonus bienvenu, mais ce n’est pas la finalité, » a-t-il précisé, en réponse aux critiques sur l’usage des logos européens sur les maillots.
Le ministre promet des résultats concrets dès les trois prochaines saisons. Ce projet s’inscrit dans une logique de transformation durable, destinée à offrir aux jeunes congolais un avenir sportif plus encadré et plus ambitieux.
Enfin, Didier Budimbu appelle à un regard constructif sur cette démarche : « Les meilleures critiques ont comme fondement la bonne information. »
