Mercredi, 28 janvier 2026 -Le Ministre délégué près le Ministre des Affaires étrangères, en charge de la Francophonie et de la Diaspora congolaise, Crispin Mbadu, a accordé une audience, mardi dernier, au Directeur général de l’Office National d’Identification de la Population (ONIP), Richard Ilunga Ntumba.
Au centre des échanges : le vaste projet d’identification des Congolais, aussi bien ceux vivant sur le territoire national que ceux établis à l’étranger. Une initiative stratégique visant à doter chaque Congolais d’une identité officielle reconnue par l’État.
Dans cette perspective, l’ONIP prévoit de travailler en étroite collaboration avec la Direction des Congolais de l’Étranger, afin d’intégrer pleinement la diaspora dans le processus d’identification nationale.
Le Ministre Crispin Mbadu a particulièrement insisté sur les difficultés majeures rencontrées par les Congolais de la diaspora, notamment l’absence ou la perte des documents d’origine, situation qui limite l’accès à plusieurs droits administratifs et civiques. Il s’est dit très satisfait de ce projet, qu’il considère comme une réponse concrète et attendue aux préoccupations récurrentes de la communauté congolaise à l’étranger.
Réaffirmant son engagement, le Ministre a assuré de son accompagnement total pour la mise en œuvre effective de cette initiative, jugée essentielle pour l’identification, l’inclusion et la reconnaissance des Congolais, tant de l’intérieur que de l’extérieur du pays.
