Le Commissaire Général à l’Energie Atomique C.G.E.A en sigle, et Prosesseur des Universités, Thierry Tagou Tabou, jeudi 14 juillet 2022, a exhorté les chevaliers de la plume à cultiver un sens de professionnalisme dans le traitement des informations en respectant les règles d’éthique et de la déontologie journalistique, au cours d’une mise au point organisée dans la salle des cours du C.G.E.A de l’Université de Kinshasa avec comme thème : « Nouvelle approche de collaboration entre le C.G.E.A et la presse congolaise.
A en croire le Commissaire Général à l’énergie atomique, le Professeur Thierry Tabou Tagou, durant 9 mois à la tête du C.G.E.A, il était important de faire une mise au point en vue de faire une nouvelle approche de collaboration entre son institution et la presse congolaise qui est l’une des forces de vulgarisation de cette organisation.
pour sa part, le Directeur Chargé des relations publiques, Richard Ngoyi a exprimé la gratitude du C.G.E.A envers la presse ( les médias), car sans eux, les réalisations et manifestations de cette institution ne pourraient être connues du grand public.
« Je remercie tous les journalistes, qui par leurs plumes de différents reportages ayant accompagné le C.G.E.A dans toutes ses actions et manifestations depuis sa création jusqu’à nos jours », a-t-il témoigné.
Et d’ajouter : « La presse en tant que quatrième pouvoir est bel et bien le portail de la communication incontournable qui a fait connaître les grandes réalisations de notre institution dans ce pays et dans le reste du monde. Voilà pourquoi nous vous avons appelé pour vous témoigner notre gratitude, ensuite nous voulons vous soumettre notre nouvelle ligne de conduite qui définit désormais notre collaboration avec vous pour qu’il n’y ait plus de débordement entre les deux parties ».
Selon la loi portant statuts du C.G.E.A, il sied de souligner que cette institution poursuive 8 objectifs à savoir :
Promouvoir et coordonner les recherches scientifiques et techniques dans les divers domaines de la science de l’industrie, intéressant l’utilisation de l’énergie atomique et la recherche spatiale, contribuer à la réalisation, à l’échelle industrielle, des dispositifs générateurs d’énergie atomique et des radio-isotopes ainsi que des équipements en électronique nucléaire, des équipements et appareils de mesure de haute précision, fournir au Gouvernement les informations concernant l’énergie atomique et ses applications et notamment d’éclairer dans les négociations des accords internationaux à conclure en ce domaine, prendre toutes les mesures utiles pour mettre la République Démocratique du Congo en état de bénéficier du développement de l’énergie atomique et d’assurer la coordination de toutes les activités liées à cette énergie, l’exploitation des matières premières nucléaires ainsi que la production, l’implantation, le transport, la vente des matières radioactives, exercer un contrôle scientifique et technique sur la construction et l’exploitation des installations liées à l’utilisation de l’énergie atomique, promouvoir et encourager la formation technique des experts en matière d’énergie atomique et ses applications, diffuser les connaissances relatives aux questions atomiques et maintenir et développer une collaboration technique et scientifique avec les organismes internationaux et étrangers poursuivant des activités dans le domaine de l’énergie atomique.
Nous rappelons que le Commissariat Général à l’Energie Atomique, C.G.E.A. en sigle, est une entreprise publique constituée conformément à la Loi N° 78-002 du 06 janvier 1978 portant dispositions générales applicables aux Entreprises Publiques. Il s’est substitué au Commissariat des Sciences Nucléaires créé par Arrêté Royal du 10 juin 1960.
Il est une entreprise à caractère scientifique, technique et industriel, dotée de la personnalité juridique. Il est placé sous la tutelle du Ministère ayant la Recherche Scientifique dans ses attributions. Il a son siège à Kinshasa et est habilité de créer des Centres en tous lieux de la République Démocratique du Congo.
