Kinshasa, 18 avril 2025 – « Casser les chaînes du sexisme envers les femmes », c’est le mot d’ordre fort qui a résonné ce vendredi à Silikin Village, lors d’une Journée d’information organisée par le Réseau des Journalistes pour la Promotion des Droits de la Femme (RJPF).
Sous la thématique : « Désancrer les stéréotypes : lutter contre la chosification de la femme et la désinformation », cette rencontre a rassemblé un public nombreux, mobilisé autour d’un enjeu majeur : déconstruire les représentations sexistes persistantes dans les médias et dans la société congolaise.
Portée par le leadership engagé de Maguy Mbuku, coordonnatrice du RJPF et responsable du média Pourelle.info, l’initiative a donné la parole à quatre intervenants de haut niveau, chacun apportant une perspective essentielle à cette lutte.
Une tribune contre le sexisme systémique
Christian Bosembe, président du CSAC, a ouvert le bal en soulignant la responsabilité des médias dans la reproduction ou la rupture des normes sexistes :
« Tout commence par la perception. Tant que la femme est systématiquement réduite au rôle de femme de ménage, on ne pourra pas briser les chaînes. »Rappelant l’engagement du Président Félix Tshisekedi pour la masculinité positive, Bosembe a martelé que la question de la femme est avant tout une question d’éducation, de valeurs et de représentations sociales.
Voix féminines et plaidoyer engagé
Joséphine Mbela, chargée de plaidoyer à l’ACAJ, a mis en lumière les implications juridiques et sociales de la désinformation sexiste, appelant à des politiques publiques plus fermes en faveur de l’égalité des sexes.
De son côté, Anny Modi, Directrice Exécutive de AFIA MAMA, a dénoncé la normalisation de la chosification de la femme, en particulier dans les espaces médiatiques et numériques, et a plaidé pour une approche intersectionnelle dans le combat féministe.
Enfin, Maître Pacifique Nkunzi, représentant de l’ONU Femmes, a clôturé les interventions en insistant sur l’importance d’un cadre légal protecteur et d’une sensibilisation continue au sein des rédactions et des institutions.
Vers une révolution narrative
Cette journée d’échange, loin de n’être qu’une simple formation, a été un moment de prise de conscience collective. Elle a donné aux femmes journalistes et à toutes les participantes des outils pour combattre les discours sexistes, tant dans leur pratique professionnelle que dans leur quotidien.
Le RJPF, par cette action, confirme son rôle central dans la défense des droits des femmes dans l’espace médiatique congolais, et poursuit son combat pour un traitement plus juste, égalitaire et humain des femmes dans les discours publics.
