Le Ministre d’État, Ministre de la justice et garde des sceaux, Maître Constant Mutamba, a effectué, ce mercredi 26 juin, une visite de travail à la prison centrale de Makala, accompagné des membres de son cabinet.
Les personnels de cette maison carcérale, qui ont reçu u le Minetat de la justice, ont déploré leurs conditions de travail, tout en réclamant leurs primes de risque. Faisant la ronde à travers chaque pavillon, le ministre d’État, ministre de la justice et garde des sceaux s’est indigné également des conditions carcérales dans cette bâtisse à l’échelle nationale dont plusieurs mesures ont été prises.
Pour le patron de la justice, cette visite s’inscrit dans le cadre du désengorgent des maisons pénitentiaires en République Démocratique du Congo, qui rentre dans la vision du Président de la République, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
« Le Président de la République nous a nommé à ce poste pour redresser notre système judiciaire et pénitentiaire. Nous avons l’obligation de lancer le désengorgement des maisons pénitentiaire en République Démocratique du Congo « , a déclaré le ministre de la justice, devant les pensionnaires de la prison de Makala.
Il a par cette occasion indiqué qu’une commission sera mis en place, dès ce samedi, pour étudier chaque cas pouvant bénéficier de cette mesure de grâce.
Il sied de noter par ailleurs que le personnel de la prison centrale de Makala a saisi cette occasion pour réclamer le paiement de sa prime de risque.
Rappelons que, Constant Mutamba annonce la mise en place d’une commission devant statuer sur le désengorgèrent des maisons pénitentiaires.
