La cérémonie s’est tenue au Centre culturel et artistique des pays d’Afrique centrale (CCAPAC), en présence de la Première Dame, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, soulignant l’importance symbolique et politique de cet événement majeur, qui se poursuivra jusqu’au 4 juillet.
Organisé par le Fonds national de réparation des victimes de violences sexuelles liées aux conflits (FONAREV), en collaboration avec le ministère des Droits humains, le forum se veut un espace national de dialogue, d’écoute et de construction collective autour des droits des victimes, en particulier celles ayant subi des violences sexuelles et des crimes contre la paix et la sécurité de l’humanité.
Un tournant vers la justice pour les survivants
« Ce forum est un moment d’écoute, d’engagement et de construction collective autour de la justice pour les victimes, » ont indiqué les organisateurs, insistant sur la nécessité d’une justice réparatrice, inclusive et centrée sur les survivants.
Durant ces assises, des survivants, des représentants de la société civile, des autorités publiques, des experts en droits humains et des partenaires internationaux se réunissent pour poser les jalons d’une politique nationale de réparation efficace et durable. Un enjeu crucial dans un pays où des milliers de Congolais portent encore les stigmates de décennies de conflits armés.

En présidant personnellement l’ouverture de ce forum, Félix Tshisekedi envoie un signal fort quant à la volonté politique de son gouvernement de replacer les victimes au centre des préoccupations nationales.
