Le ministre des laïcs protestants (MILAPRO) suit de près le débat à l’Assemblée Nationale sur la loi électorale et exige un consensus de toutes les parties prenantes au processus ainsi que des reformes de la loi électorale pour la fiabilité du processus, ce mardi 19 avril 2022. Cette information a été confirmée au cours de son point de presse tenu en rapport avec la situation générale en République Démocratique du Congo dans son siège situé sur l’avenue de la justice numéro 76 dans la Commune de la Gombe.
Après l’adoption de la loi organique sur la CENI qui a suscité tant de remous et le processus controversé de désignation de la nouvelle équipe dirigeante de ladite CENI, le MILAPRO suit avec un grand intérêt le débat à l’Assemblée Nationale sur la Loi Électorale et exige un consensus de toutes les parties prenantes au processus.
Pour ce faire, le MILAPRO soumettra dans le temps, en tant que société civile, des propositions des réformes de la loi électorale pour la fiabilité du processus.
« Au regard du temps restant jusqu’à la tenue effective des élections en 2023, et les contraintes d’ordre organisationnel y associées, MILAPRO s’en remet à la sagesse de l’Eglise du Christ au Congo qui, par la voie de son Président National et Représentant Légal, avait déjà, au lendemain de la promulgation des résultats contestés des élections de 2018, appelé aux concertations de la classe politique et sociale du pays en vue de la préservation de la paix sociale. Le temps semble lui donner raison aujourd’hui », renseigne le document lu au point de presse par le Secrétaire General de la MILAPRO, Jeff Pambi.
Par ailleurs, le MILAPRO estime de ce fait, qu’il est impérieux de capitaliser cette recommandation en vue de trouver un consensus général et éviter à la nation des retombées négatives éventuelles dont nul ne sera à l’aise d’assurer en cas de non-respect de l’ordre constitutionnel sur l’organisation des élections attendues en 2023.
