Étant l’unique athlète proéminent dans ma discipline et reconnu par la fédération internationale, j’ai aussi le droit d’un passeport diplomatique, en vue de faciliter mes déplacements sans toutefois revenir chaque fois au pays. » a-t-il déclaré.
Ce sportif indique avoir déjà introduit une demande à ce sujet, auprès du président de la République, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, et reste à l’attente d’une réponse. Néanmoins, les autorités congolaises ne semblent garantir aucune suite au désir qu’exprime l’athlète Hondi Rugenge.
Ressortissant de la partie Est de la République Démocratique du Congo,précisément dans la province du Sud-Kivu Hondi Rugenge est champion du monde en 2019 dans la discipline de Bodybuilding.
En effet, Hondi évolue à l’étranger, ce costaud porte en lui un rêve de redorer l’image de cette des poids lourds dans son pays.
