Kinshasa, 15 décembre 2025 — Le Gouvernement de la République démocratique du Congo a lancé, ce lundi à Kinshasa, le projet de renforcement de la résilience du système de santé face aux urgences sanitaires, sous la conduite du Dr Samuel-Roger Kamba, ministre de la Santé publique, Hygiène et Prévoyance sociale. Cette initiative bénéficie de l’appui de partenaires techniques et financiers majeurs, notamment l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS), Africa CDC et le Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
Dans un contexte marqué par la recrudescence des crises sanitaires mpox, choléra, Ebola, rougeole et autres maladies à potentiel épidémique les autorités congolaises entendent renforcer durablement la préparation, la détection précoce et la capacité de réponse du système de santé. Depuis décembre 2022, la RDC a enregistré plus de 27 000 cas de mpox et plus de 42 000 cas de choléra, avec plus de 1 100 décès, mettant en évidence l’urgence d’une action structurée et anticipative.
Le projet vise à consolider la résilience du système de santé à travers plusieurs axes prioritaires : renforcement des capacités locales, amélioration du diagnostic, surveillance épidémiologique, analyse des données, engagement communautaire et coordination multisectorielle. Les résultats attendus comprennent une alerte précoce plus efficace, une confirmation plus rapide des cas, un meilleur suivi des flambées épidémiques, ainsi que des investissements durables en infrastructures et équipements.
Prévu pour la période septembre 2025 – mars 2026, le projet couvrira plusieurs provinces, dont Kinshasa, et devrait bénéficier directement à plus de 1,2 million de personnes et indirectement à près de 4,8 millions.
À travers cette initiative, le Gouvernement réaffirme sa volonté de placer la santé au cœur du développement, de protéger les populations les plus vulnérables et de bâtir un système de santé solide, résilient et prêt à faire face aux défis sanitaires futurs.
