Prenant la parole à la permanence devant des milliers des combattantes et combattants, le mardi 22 novembre dernier, le Secrétaire Général de l’Union pour la Démocratie et le Progrès Social (UDPS) Augustin Kabuya Tshilumba, a réagi sur l’interpellation de Mr Victor Wakwenda pour éclaircir l’opinion nationale qu’internationale, lors la présentation officielle des nouveaux mandataires de l’Etat pour le compte de leur formation politique.
Dès l’entrée de jeux de ces assises, le Secrétaire Général de l’UDPS, Augustin Kabuya a fixé l’opinion sur ladite affaire de l’interpellation de Mr Victor Wakwenda. En effet, il laisse entendre que toutes ces personnes qui veulent semer la terreur au sein du parti pendant que le pays est en pleine agression sont animées non seulement d’une jalousie, d’une haine, mais également d’une mauvaise foi.
« Victor Wakwenda a été interpellé par la justice non pas parce que le SG Kabuya a porté plainte contre lui, mais parce que ce dernier a prononcé un discours selon lequel la RDC est in gouvernée. Le ministère public a trouvé bon de se saisir du dossier et de l’inviter pour qu’il explique la motivation de ses dires. A quel niveau se situe l’implication de Kabuya dans tout ça? », S’est-interrogé le S.G Augustin Kabuya.
Et d’ajouter : « Qu’est-ce que je vais gagner si je traduis un vieux papa comme Victor Wakwenda en justice ? ».
A l’en croire, Victor Wakwenda était détenu par le parquet qui lui reproche la propagation de faux bruits et d’incitation à la désobéissance civile.
Par ailleurs, Augustin Kabuya appelle tous les tireurs de ficelles à lire correctement le statut du parti avant d’engager un quelconque débat là-dessus.
Rappelons qu’après avoir passé une nuit à la prison centrale de Makala, Mr Victor Wakwenda a été mis en liberté provisoire, le mardi 22 novembre à cause son état de santé actuelle.
