Lubumbashi, 17 avril 2025 – C’est un tournant majeur pour le secteur de la santé en République Démocratique du Congo. Le Président de la République, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, a procédé ce jeudi à l’inauguration du Centre Hospitalier Tshisekedi Tshilombo (CHTT), un établissement sanitaire de niveau tertiaire aux équipements ultramodernes, situé à Lubumbashi.
Conçu pour répondre aux normes internationales les plus exigeantes, le CHTT s’étend sur plus de 13 000 m² de surface bâtie, au cœur d’une concession de trois hectares. Il s’agit d’un projet porté par la Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale (CNSS) en partenariat avec la société Alpha SRL, Congo Modern Construction et le bureau d’études Betsalel.
Un hôpital à la pointe de la technologie
Le nouveau centre hospitalier dispose d’un plateau technique de dernière génération, parmi les plus avancés du continent. Il est notamment équipé de la première IRM 1.5 Tesla sans hélium de la RDC, d’un scanner 128 coupes, d’une mammographie numérique, et d’un appareil de densitométrie osseuse.
Son bloc opératoire peut accueillir les spécialités les plus complexes : chirurgie mini-invasive, neurochirurgie, urologie… À cela s’ajoutent un laboratoire de biologie moléculaire, un service d’anatomopathologie, un centre de dialyse, une unité de dentisterie haut de gamme, un centre ophtalmologique de référence, ainsi qu’un centre d’appareillage orthopédique conçu en partenariat avec Ottobock, géant allemand du secteur.
Vers un système de santé moderne et accessible
Le Ministre de la Santé, Dr Samuel Roger Kamba, a salué un jalon décisif vers la couverture santé universelle voulue par le Président Tshisekedi. Il a rappelé que ce centre fait partie d’un programme national de cinq hôpitaux tertiaires, destiné à réduire les évacuations médicales coûteuses à l’étranger, évaluées à plus de 35 millions USD par an.
Un centre de formation en télémédecine et e-santé, intégré à l’établissement, soutiendra les efforts de certification ISO 9001, confirmant l’ambition d’inscrire le CHTT dans une logique de qualité, de recherche et d’innovation.
Un rêve collectif devenu réalité
Prenant la parole devant les invités, le Directeur Général de la CNSS, Charles Mudiay, a déclaré :
« Lorsqu’on rêve à plusieurs, c’est déjà une réalité. L’utopie partagée, c’est le ressort de l’histoire. »Le Centre Hospitalier Tshisekedi Tshilombo s’affirme ainsi comme un pilier de la transformation du système de santé congolais, accessible à tous, et promis à devenir une référence nationale et régionale.
