Pour la raison de la justice, de la vérité et de la reconnaissance envers l’ancien premier ministre et Honorable député Augustin Matata Ponyo, Le Mouvement International des Etudiants Catholiques ( MIEC), a organisé une conférence de presse le jeudi 12 mai 2022, pour dénoncer des violences des droits et libertés fondamentaux à l’égard de ce dernier. Cette activité s’est déroulée au Centre d’Etudes Pour l’Action Sociale (CEPAS) situé au numéro 9 de l’avenue Père Boka dans la Commune de la Gombe.
C’est au cours d’une conférence de presse animé le jeudi 12 mai 2022 à Kinshasa, que Mr Hervé Mandji, membre du bureau provincial du mouvement international des étudiants catholiques/Maniema (MIEC) a annoncé que plus de 50.000 personnes ont déjà apposé leurs signatures à la pétition pour soutenir la démarche formulée par les membres de cette organisation.
A en croire Mr Hervé, cette démarche de la population du Maniema, toutes tendances confondues, se justifie par trois raisons : le souci de la justice, la vérité et la reconnaissance.
En ce qui concerne la justice, les forces vives du Maniema exigent l’application pure et simple de l’arrêt n°RP 0001 du 15 novembre 2021, rendu en premier et dernier ressort, qui a définitivement clos le dossier « débâcle du parc agro-industriel de Bukanga-Lonzo ».
Au sujet de la vérité, elles rappellent que par le réquisitoire n°14229/RMPI/0001/P.G.C.CONST/MOP/2021 du 15 mai 2021, adressé au Sénat, le Procureur Général de la République près la Cour Constitutionnelle, Jean-Paul Mukolo, « avait clairement indiqué que le dossier Bukanga Lonzo qui était en instruction en son temps au parquet général près la Cour de Cassation, lui avait été transmis par son collègue, pour disposition et compétence ». Elles notent qu’« il s’agirait là, ni plus ni moins, d’un acharnement politique » orchestré contre le sénateur Matata Ponyo.
Soulignons que cette association représente les étudiants catholiques au niveau international dans les universités et dans les institutions universitaires. Sa mission principale est d’évangéliser le milieu étudiant. Les étudiants sont encouragés à vivre leur foi tout en étant partie prenante dans la société, localement, nationalement et internationalement. Ils sont invités à œuvrer pour édifier une société plus juste et équitable.
