Alors que les tensions entre certains conseillers municipaux et les bourgmestres se multiplient dans la ville de Kinshasa, le leader kinois Timothée Lenoir Efika, président du Front des Jeunes pour les Sursauts Patriotiques (FJSP/Fatshi20), est monté au créneau pour calmer les esprits et éclairer l’opinion publique.
Dans une vidéo devenue virale sur les réseaux sociaux, le jeune leader a rappelé le cadre légal et administratif en vigueur en République Démocratique du Congo.
« Actuellement, en République Démocratique du Congo, particulièrement à Kinshasa, les bourgmestres sont nommés par Ordonnance présidentielle », a-t-il expliqué d’un ton posé, avant de préciser :
« Les conseillers municipaux ne devraient pas être en conflit ou entrer en bras de fer avec les bourgmestres, qui sont considérés comme leurs autorités directes selon la hiérarchie de l’entité communale. »
Face aux tensions croissantes qui nuisent à la gestion locale, Timothée Lenoir Efika appelle les conseillers municipaux à faire preuve de maturité politique. « Il est temps de réfléchir plus haut, dans l’intérêt des citoyens. Ces tiraillements n’apportent rien de bon à nos communes », a-t-il insisté.
Par cette sortie médiatique, le président du FJSP espère recentrer le débat sur les véritables priorités de la gouvernance locale, loin des conflits de positionnement qui plombent l’action des autorités de proximité.
